My name is Peter Devos. I live in Zwijnaarde (close to Ghent in Belgium) with my wife and two sons, . I’m a web developer at a software company in Zwijnaarde. This blog is about my endaevors into the sport of triathlon.
I play volleybal at a recreational level after playing for about 15-16 years at a regional level. I also like mountainbiking and squash and try to hit the gym twice a week.

For those who want some more background info : in april 2007 I went on a skying trip with a few friends. I had never skied before except for a couple of times indoor. Prior to the trip I had taken up fitness again after a couple of months inactivity so I was feeling pretty fit. But of course it had to happen : I fell hard on my shoulder and broke my collar-bone. I had to rest for a few months. Those few months grew to 6 months in which I gained about 5 kg. I was fed up with it and joined a local volleybalteam and visited the gym regularly again. Now, about one year later, I weigh about 8kg less with a fat percentage of about 17. I want to loose about 2-3kg more and get a fat percentage of below 15. Training for triathlons is the best way I know how to keep fit and lose weight.
